This was my favorite of the novellas so far, which says a lot since I loved Sunreach. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Jorgen’s character become more dimensional and watching his own powers grow. It’s interesting to see how he and Spensa differ and balance eachother. I was also thrilled to spend more time with the Kitsen! Plus it gave me the insight as to what was going on outside of the Nowhere that I felt was missing in Cytonic.

Next up in the Skyward series is Evershore by Brandon Sanderson. This is the third novella in the Skyward Flight series. In this installment, Jorgen "Jerkface" Weight takes the spotlight as he navigates the complex dynamics within the DDF (Defiant Defense Force) and deals with the aftermath of their recent missions. Jorgen's leadership is put to the test as he and his team face new threats from the Krell and uncover more secrets about the mysterious alien species. As the stakes rise, the characters must rely on their camaraderie, wits, and piloting skills to survive and protect their home world. I might sound like a broken record on these, but I enjoyed this read. Seeing things from a minor character’s perspective is interesting.
