By far, this is not my favorite one but still enjoyed the story.

Beatrix Potter was an interesting person, who told these fascinating tales and illustrated them with care, it was another decent tale from her.

May 2018 - while I'm sure a lot of the clothing went over Ben's head, the charm is all still there and he was completely fascinated by who or what Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle was.

This is a re-read. I read most of Beatrix Potter's books when I was little. I remembered this as being one of my favorites. I wanted to see if I could still find something in them as an adult. I don't know about the others, but this is very much exclusively for children, and even then I don't know what I saw in it as a kid. There's barely a story here.
lighthearted relaxing medium-paced

Lucie, a young farm girl, searches for her lost pocket handkerchiefs. When the animals prove to be no help, she discovers the hidden home of Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, who does the laundry for the animals.

The Kiddo and I read this in one session, and it turned out to be quite enjoyable in spite of not having all that much in the way of plot. Much of the story is actually descriptions of Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle doing the laundry. The descriptions and the dialogue are engaging, especially Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle's speech pattern, and the story is charming even when not much is going on. It's also short enough to not overstay its welcome.

This was super-cute and had more of a faerie/mystical vibe than I had been expecting, complete with a door in a hill leading to Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle's home. The illustrations are lovely, and do a nice job of bringing out the personalities of the characters.

Good message, an inspiration to those of us who desperately try to keep it clean in the face of such horrendous adversity. Would give it 6 *s if I could.

This was a different story as there was a little girl as a main character. I enjoyed the little hedgehog and I found the ending satisfying. The kids enjoyed this one too. I love her art work.
lighthearted fast-paced

I loved this story as a child and love it even now!
