In which Death decides to take an apprentice and introduces us to his adopted daughter. There is a wizard who isn’t very good at being a wizard — no, not Rincewind, the other one — and a princess who is dead but is very much alive. Hilarity and beautiful language are the two trademarks of all Pratchetty novels and this one was no different.

Simple story but not in a bad way. Introduces death's character arc in the discworld although isn't the main protagonist. Really enjoyable both in physical and audiobook format. Funny and light-hearted, recommend if you was a taste of Pratchett's discworld and more specifically death's character.

Having only read Moving Pictures and Going Postal I wasn't sure what to expect. Both of those were a fun imagination of "what if [real world thing] but fantasy" and they were joyful but I was looking for something that has a different beat.
This definitely did that. It had the same touch of absurdity, and self awareness, that make his novels such a joy. It also had a true sense of adventure that made it exciting to read along. It at many points bordered on the philosophical.
Always a joy to read and I'm having real fun learning about this world Terry Pratchett has created.
