While this is good, Booktube was making this out to be way more amazing than it is. It's an horrific scenario but there's one gaping plothole when the Russians detect the US missiles that must fly over them to hit North Korea and they think its the US attacking them. This doesn't make sense. They have intel that the US has been hit by 2 nuclear bombs. Furthermore, wouldn't they have detected the launches from North Korea?!? The author attributes it to Russia paranoia for why they immediately respond by launching their nukes against the US. I think the author just wanted to get to the worst scenario where most of the world is annihilated within 2 hours. Besides that I really like the all the interesting facts and history, and I'm looking forward to the movie adaptation.
North Korea launches a missile strike on the Pentagon, preceded by a submarine nuclear strike on a nuclear power plant near LA. During the first 30 min until impact we see the US chain of command actions and their response to launch their own nukes against North Korea. Those nukes must go over Russia, which is what causes them to retaliate. In addition to striking the US, they must strike US NATO allies as well which means they also strike most major European cities. When the US sees that Russia has launched against them, they also strike against Russia resulting in the worst outcome that the entire planet will be in nuclear winter and not livable except areas like Australia, island nations and maybe parts of Africa?
