YES. The ending??? I’m reeling. There wasn’t a lot of spice and I loved that the focus was the plot and the characters as opposed to their sexual relationship. I’m so psyched for the next book and I know I’ll be thinking about this book for a hot minute.

This wasn't quite as good as Butcher & Blackbird, but it might be unfair of me to compare, even if I'm doing so unintentionally. Still, "not quite as good" is still pretty fecking good.

I love enemies-to-lovers, and this one was done do well. Also, who doesn't love a killer who blushes at the drop of a hat (him, not her lol).

The witty banter, murder, sex, and the love between friends and family were all still there. And I absolutely adored Aunt Ethel. She reminded me of some of my favorite hospice patients, that I would just sit in their rooms and chat with them. She was a real one.

The audio was so good. I'm a big fan of Eric Nolan's, and Samantha Brentmoor was new to me but I loved her. Her singing was so pretty too. Highly recommend this audio.

I don’t know how Brynn Weaver keeps writing the sweetest, laugh out loud books about serial killers. I don’t think I’ve ever read another book series that has such gross-out scenes paired with such soft, romantic swoon.

I loved Lachlan so much and how gone he was for Lark. Normally I get bored in books when the couple develops feelings for each other so quickly, but I felt there was enough pining here and enough other things going on that I really didn’t mind

I’m very excited for the next book in this series
