A good story
I enjoyed Katie's story about following your dreams and seeing things through.
I wasn't sure at the beginning, but I really liked Katie and her horse Samson. I think Jade did a great job of drawing a connection to the characters. Lots of steam. Lots! But a good plot too!

Well this was absolutely delightful. Honestly, I just picked this up to have Cornell Collins read something dirty to me, plus I’m always down for a boyfriends-are-boyfriends romance, and then I stayed for… the plot? I genuinely ended up speeding through this today because I so wanted to know what was going to happen that I’m going to have to go back and read the smut when I’m not hanging out with my kid.
DNF 30%, not feeling this right now! Might come back to it, not sure.

I was prepared for all spice and no plot and was pleasantly surprised when it had plot and that plot was actually good. None of the characters were super annoying, which is a huge positive.
Were the spice scenes a little corny… yes, but I knew that would be the case. Even the writer called it out at one point when the FMC said all she needed was pigtails and big fake eye lashes.
Honestly 4 stars and exceeded expectations.
