Having an absolute fit over trying to get through another 500+ page Maas book, I needed the delightful, exhilarating break that reading erotica brings. When I downloaded "Sugar Daddies" to my Kindle Library, I was looking for something short, steamy, and distracting. I found all of those things, mind you, but I also found a lot more...

Trigger Warnings: Parental Abandonment, Abuse, Mention of Drug Use, EXPLICIT sexual scenes

This book is an absolute must read if you want the best of all worlds; a gorgeous girl with a heart of gold, a bossy rich man with a past, and a stunning, creative tattooed god practically dripping with sex appeal. (Seriously, there's a tongue piercing mentioned no less than ten times. Each even more glorious than the last!) And the best part of it all, Bisexual and Poly rep!!!

*SPOILERS*

Katie was and was not the typical "horsey girl" I expected her to be. Yes, her dream was to own a beautiful yard for horses, and house her absolute prized horse, Samson; but oh.. she wanted more than that. Just when I thought she was going to be the typical heroine, she surprised me.

With every new event in the book, something unexpected thrown her way, she handled it all like... dare I say it; an adult?? I often find that heroines of romance novels act quite childlike, despite often being well into their twenties. At just 21, my own age, she was able to take on big responsibilities and handle a very complicated relationship. Katie was written extremely well.

Now, that brings me to Rick and Carl. My, how I love this couple. I have not read a lot of books with Poly rep, but I am glad to say that this has been one of the best ones. While there was a little bit of jealousy, some miscommunication, and perhaps all-around pig-headedness... The love between Rick and Carl stayed strong, all the while trying to navigate what they both wanted from Katie.

The balance in this book between an old love, a new love, and LOTS of passion... was sublime. It is quite the understatement when I say I am EAGER to read more of Jade West's books.

This was pretty good! I liked the way the emotion played into it. I thought maybe the climax was a little intense?
SpoilerI thought the whole fall/injury didn't quite need to happen, I was ready for the book to be over and it could have been resolved sooner.
However, the last 2 or 3 chapters did cause me to tear up a bit, so maybe it was worth it :P

Overall I liked all the characters (Katie could be a little annoying but overall her actions made sense), and the plot was both sexy and heartfelt. Happy I read this one!!

Sugar Daddies by Jade West was...an experience. I really enjoyed a majority of this book, until maybe the last 5%. The kink was fantastic, the character dynamics and depth were well rounded, and I was invested in the overall storyline rather than only smut. BUT. I HATE pregnancy tropes. I get it, it fit the storyline, but I didn't go into a book about double stuffing sugar daddies to read about the beautiful joy of pregnancy and childbirth at the end.

Overall good, would've likely been 5 without the pregnancy storyline.

This book was one of the first books I read, I was really interested in the whole 1 women in a relationship with 2 men that are already dating. The beginning for me was fun but the ending of the plot twist of them trying to hide the baby thing got me, like what do you mean you wanted a women in the relationship because you want a child? is she a baby making machine? crazy anyways one of the men got on my nerves a lot. I don't remember much of the book or the names but the man who's more closed off he said a lot of weird sexist things that was weird, I guess he stopped saying them once the women got with them but in first interaction he was being weird. The other guy who was friendly is cool and he seemed like some I would like to be around fun, understanding and he turns rawrrrr once he's in the mood love the switch. Over all this book wasn't that bad, I feel like there was a lot internalised misogyny she needed to work though and the men need to work on their misogyny as well, other than that the worst part of the book was the baby part as I remember thinking 'I don't even think she wants the baby she's just doing it for them' which is a problem. You can't have a baby for men you are in love with it has to be your doing something you want, it didn't feel as such as she never thought of having a child before she met them it was very rushed to me. They are just dating that's it, how it that legally safe if they take full custody that would be hard as they have more money than her and prob have better layers. I just felt like she was at a disadvantage and she didn't really think of it or even made plans incase anything doesn't go that way, why would you think things would never go left?. It was a quick read di don't think it took me long to read this book, I remember reading it in shorter time than most book , the SMUTTTT!! it was very good that was prob one of the best smut I read even though the words she used sometimes cringed me out.
