It took me a second to get into this book and fall in love with Sasha and Vincent but once I did I could not put the book down. I stayed up way too late reading only to get a few hours of sleep just to wake up and start reading again. The over the top MMC is always a favorite and Vincent fills the role perfectly while also being so sweet.

MMC has a child... and it took away from the romance, as I expected it would when I found out. Ugh.!!! Which is exactly one the many reasons why I don't like the single parent trope.

Every time the mmc was like "annie is the most important person/girl" in my life, I rolled my eyes, because he is supposed to be saying this about the fmc!!

I am here for romance!

I DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR CHILD, SIR!

This is a one-star because of that, but also because the fmc keeps praising him for things that single mothers do all the time without effort...

Gurl, why are you praising this man for basically raising his child? He is SUPPOSED to be doing these bare minimum stuff... hanging her ugly shit she drew on his walls, picking her up from school etc... why are you impressed by this lmao?!

This is so boring...!

Also i HATED the scene where Annie, the daughter got her period and the mmc rushed to the heroine after they had a fight where he humiliated her...

cause thats just an excuse for the heroine to melt about the fact that he "trusted" her with his daughter... right after he was mean to her in an earlier scene.

Which means no grovel!!! I mean, he apologized a little but she forgives him immediately and jumps into bed with him.

Sir, if your daughter has her period, as a father, you should have been prepared, having done all the research needed to take care of it... not rely on another woman who is not your child's mother to teach your daughter period stuff!!!

He's not a good father!

Ugh! What do i need to do to find a good romance book around here?!

Holy Highlights Batman!! I ended up highlighting 38 sections!

Talk about a great story, I loved Mr. Sin! The blurb didn't hook me, and I ended up reading this book because SJ Tilly has been amazing and I wanted to finish reading all of her available books. Let me say, wow! This has been one of my favorites so far.

An Angel meets the Devil in Sin City, and let me say the chemistry on these pages steaming hot. After a searing one night stand, our angel Sasha leaves her found Devil, Vincent, sleeping in his penthouse hotel apartment in Las Vegas. They meet again unexpectedly a month later, where they learn that there wouldn't be only a single night for either of them. After they have a devastating reunion, where Vincent abruptly rejects Sasha, they learn they will be working together. Where Vincent is the CEO of a mega million corporation, founded by nefarious history, and Sasha is his new badass bosslady PR Agent.

Working with a moody, sexy, possessive, jealous, and neurotic boss might be a challenge for some, but Sasha takes no prisoners in this battle. Between wading through Vincent's hot, cold, and colder behavior, meeting an unexpected 11yo daughter, getting caught up in a decade old stalker situation, and hiding her non-relationship with her client from her boss, there is no shortage of challenges for our heroine. Add on a team of security men who could double as NFL linebackers, a brother who happens to be just as pissy and overprotective as your moody sexy boss, and a menstruation meltdown, then we have a very fun, can't put it down book.

This romance was just the right pace for me. There is a lot of push and pull between the two main characters, and while they clearly have feelings for one another, there are plenty of moments where the tension drives the story forward in such a satisfying way. In this book

After each time the H reacts badly, the h responds with the perfect amount of brutal honesty, and purposeful feedback. We learn that the H has a family that is not common knowledge, and his life as a single dad keeps him from forming long lasting relationships, in a form of self-sabotage. Not only this, but that he is struggling with memories of the loss of a family member, and other attacks on his family. This leads the H to be quite the asshole.
Spoiler Upon the initial reunion after the one night stand, Vincent pulls a one and done in the Mazzanti building, where he gets so in his own head (cold feet) that after they part ways he doesn't even regard her or look at her. He leaves the room without so much as a glance back, leaving her alone, laying exposed on a office desk to clean up the mess! Shit. And then later, after they have moved on past this incident, Vincent insults her again by being purposely hurtful in a moment of weakness, and calling her 'one of the women he fucks'.

Once the two get past their initial hang ups, outside drama moves most of the rest of the story, while the two main characters fall into a more caring and open relationship. Watching how the two of them merge their lives together, between family, friends, careers, and homes was very sweet.

The outside drama (ie, family stalker) was interesting, and added a great deal in terms of additional characters (ie, Sasha's relationship with her appointed bodyguard Eric is hilarious!), and necessary drama, by bringing up old fears of the H, providing the content for the stories climax.
SpoilerThe ending is a gratifying emotional mirror to that of the H's flashback scenes with his father's death.

There is also an element of family bonding drama between Annie and Sasha, where they bond over shared experiences. I found Vincent so endearing during this scene, where he struggles multiple times over how he has failed his daughter as a father, but finds more love for Sasha in how she fills in the holes he missed. I adore how his love develops further for Sasha, because of his strong love for his daughter and his desire to be better for her, is highlighted by Sasha's presence in their lives.

My Take on the Main Characters: Vincent is a flawed hero, and I loved him. Where Sasha was a perfect angel, Vincent really was a little devil. He doesn't know how to treat a woman that he loves, saying and doing things that hurt her, to protect himself and his family. However with the help of Sasha, he turns out to be a quick study in the area of 'what women want'.

He is protective to a fault, but his other treatments of Sasha (after his initial asshole phase) are so sweet and perfect, that I could barely remember why I was mad at him to begin with. I think Sasha probably felt the same way!

Talk about all I ever wanted in a female main character! At first I was thinking Sasha might be a bit timid, but boy did she prove me wrong. Right out of the gate Sasha is fiesty, witty, and unapologetically assertive. She handles the H without kid gloves, pushing back on him, and making him admit to himself that he wants her. She handles everyone with a quick wit, and a non-nonsense attitude. Every man in this book tried her, and she handled them all.

She is understandably wary of Vincent, but she is very attracted to him. And even after he treated her like crap a few times, I never felt like she gave in to him. Instead they guides them into a loving relationship that was a thing of beauty.

What I liked:There were so many funny moments in this book I had to highlight them. I wish Eric got a book, he is so funny, but I know John gets one.... so maybe that is good enough.

What I didn't like: N/A

I freaking loved it top tier toes curling master pies
Love that sj Tilly writes about curvy woman
They way she thas it is perfect

But now let’s get to Vincent the man every woman’s dream I can admit I hated him for half of the book because duhh he whas being a ass wipe but the way the man can talk loveee it

And Sasha the sassy woman love that she has a back bone and doesn’t shut up if someone being rude to her
She stands her ground don’t take bull crap from anyone even Vincent love it

I wasn't a fan of the MMC, but the story was really good. I liked the flashbacks and the twist at the end.

Ooooh I loved this book! Daddy Vincent, yes please! Sasha is such a gem. I loved her so much in this book. Her relationships with Vincent and Annie were so wonderful. This book was a lot spicier than the other S.J. Tilly books I've read, and I'm 100% ok with that. The plot flowed really well and was engaging from start to finish. This is not one to miss!!!
