I feel like a lot of people didn’t like the second book as much as they did the first, but I really enjoyed it. I find that it is rare to read a book where you get insight into a character after they’ve fulfilled their destiny. I continue to love Xiala, I actually wanted Naranpa’s POV this time around, and I’m excited by the introduction of new characters. Can’t wait for the final book!

4.5. Not as intense as the first one but it is still excellent. I am eagerly waiting for what comes next!
Finally started this series only to have to wait a whole year for the third book come out
An amazing sequel that builds on the conflicts our main characters have gone through, one of the characters was a lot weaker in his motivations and was clearly more of a plot device. Other than that, can't wait to read the finale.
