The thing I love about the Black Sun series is the worldbuilding. Typically I don’t read a lot of fantasy but this series got me hooked. One of my favorite parts was exploring the politics in the city of Tova and the entire Meridian. This was a great, engaging read!

It gets slow in some parts, but still a very good epic. The world building was rich and engaging enough to keep me going. Looking forward to the next book if there is to be one.

Definitely a middle book, but interesting! I am really excited to see where Xiala’s story goes, and to see Balam get the smackdown he deserves. On to book 3!!
