Such a fun, satisfying fantasy! (For books 1 and 2 in the series)
Again, amazing setting, world building is excellent. However there are a million characters and I only managed to care about maybe 3.
The last third of this book really turned it up and was a lot more fun than the rest. I'll probably read the next one anyway.

Ugh I’m sad I read through this so fast! The second of the three stories in the Between Earth and Sky series kept the narrative going after the insane ending of the first book. Excellent advances were made in character development, and Roanhorse did a great job of implanting major plot twists. I am so excited for the third and final book next summer.
Also, some studio needs to pick this story up stat and make a TV show. Please and thanks!

Roanhorse adds another layer of depth and intrigue as she continues to grow the world and characters. Nara and Serapio are perfect foils to each other and while the ending leaves so many questions unanswered I can't wait to see what happens next.

I know this is a trilogy but this book had big Middle Book energy. Tons of setup and sort of unsatisfying. Looking forward to #3!
