A raw day in the life perspective we don’t often get to see. Harper exposes the bitter, violent, and heartless story these women endure. It could be a standalone, but I am curious to see what happens to these characters in the rest of the trilogy.

count this for a review of the whole series because, yes, i did buy all three books at once.

all three where really quick, enjoyable reads, but not the type you think about too much, however across the three books there was no character growth and a similar conflict throughout. it felt repetitive, like i knew that Amara’s father was a doctor in Greece, but it was said so many times it was honestly annoying. then there where big events that could of been expanded on and really made the book, but instead they were flat, only existing because of the historical context.

if i hadn’t brought all three books idk if I would’ve finished them.

This wasn’t what I was expecting, it was very beat you over the head with the point. It wasn’t bad but I don’t really think it was anything special for me
