3.45 AVERAGE

3.5 stars. The book started out slow but really picked up steam after the first 75 pages or so. The writing is compelling and it was well done but perhaps the story is a little bit too much like We Were Liars and The Night Sister?

This book reminds me a lot of Ellen Hopkins book Identical. Where really, sister relations in terms of jealousy are explored. I read some reviews stating that this premise is now overused and personality disorders are too popular, and I can say I have read another novel this year with Dissociative identity disorder as a main plot line. But I could not put this book down. Throw in the missing child and a illegal porn ring and boom I rushed right through it. Were there flaws: yes - unanswered questions - you betcha, but the mystery kept me coming back and I overall thought it was super entertaining. I wouldn't read it again (a sign of a 5 star read) but I enjoyed it and would definitely suggest it to a friend.

I have a lot of feelings about this one and no one to discuss them with. So if you read this let me know.

the first part of this book was somewhat slow and seemingly uneventful. The back and forth between the two character point of views, emails, blog posts and timing was annoying and difficult to follow. The second part of the story picked up momentum and was interesting. However, the ending was a colossal let down and so poorly done, it was frustrating.

Pretty good, but I liked Before I Fall better. I get what the author was attempting to do, but it wasn't executed as well as it could have been, in my opinion.

I already read [b:We Were Liars|16143347|We Were Liars|E. So like, I'm good. This one wasn't really necessary.

I’m giving this book 3.5 stars.
It was easy to get sucked into the complicated life and sisterhood of Dara and Nick. It was a simple, easy read that I read in two sittings.
With that being said, the plot twist took me a solid 10 minutes to comprehend. I had to reread a few pages to make sure I wasn’t losing my mind. Then I had to take another 10 minutes to think back on the previous 300 pages to make sense of it all. So I wouldn’t say it’s a great plot twist.

I really enjoyed this book but felt like it ended very abruptly.
