I enjoyed this novel as it alternated between two points of view: Daisy and then Simon. It was an okay book. I wouldn’t necessarily call this novel a psychological thriller.

Reading Kindle digital copy. Will be taking part in the Blog Tour for this book in August!

Read for The Reading Rush.

Posting a review in August.

Hey book lovers! I'm here with a book review for Lies, Lies, Lies by Adele Parks. I'm very grateful that Justine at Harper Collins invited me to be a part of the blog tour. There are some events that some may find triggering: alcoholism, car accident, sexual assault, domestic violence, and animal cruelty.

About The Book

The epilogue was so stupid. The “twist” was ridiculous

I loved this book
Review to come tomorrow I’m tired

There are a lot of books out now that are about lies.... and secrets.... and more lies. It seems to be a trend, or maybe they're just the types of books that are grabbing my attention right now. I do love how each author puts their own spin on their characters' packs of lies.

Lies, Lies, Lies is full of secrets and lies—and characters I liked and then didn't like—because of the lies and secrets they were keeping. Simon and Daisy definitely have problems in their marriage. Drinking is Simon's escape but it makes Daisy question why she stays with him. Then one night, everything comes down on both of them and their lives are changed forever. More secrets and lies come out. Will that be what finally ends it for them?

This was an intriguing story with it's share of twists and turns. I was drawn into the story from the start and quickly devoured it—very satisfying. This is the first book by Adele Parks that I have read but she is definitely be on my radar now and I'll be eagerly awaiting her next book.

I was sent this book in return for an honest review.

At first I wasn’t sure that this book was ‘my thing’. I like thrillers and it seemed to be a bit of a slow burner.
Although it starts slow with seemingly innocent chat Adele Parks is weaving the scene for you. A scene that many of us have encountered. A friend/spouse/colleague that likes a drink. A couple who so desperately want a child they are almost driving themselves apart with that want. The friends who have been friends forever but have had a few ups and downs. And most importantly a secret that could destroy everything.
The book tackles some of society’s biggest hurdles, Alcoholism, infertility, rape & domestic abuse and of course Lies Lies Lies.
It makes you question yourself and maybe some of the seemingly innocent lies you or another has told. Is it ever ok to lie? Where should the line be drawn?
I found 1 or 2 chapters a little unnecessary and found I needed to re read them because I had skimmed them in a rush to find out what was happening elsewhere with other characters.
Overall a great book with some tough topics and unexpected twists and turns.

Took me awhile to read this book, at first I found it slow, I couldn’t gauge a theme and wasn’t sure if I liked the main characters. It picked up part way through, then dipped again. Gave it 4 stars as it got more exciting 70% onwards, was a good ending. I know the title gives it away that the book is based upon lies, but there’s literally so many lies in the book.

Meh. It was decent but not overly so. By about 2/3 through, I knew were things were headed and just wanted it finished.

Tikėjausi daug to melo melo melo, tačiau tai neįvyko, o pabaiga man iš vis nepatiko. Mano nuomone, knyga verta dėmesio, tačiau tikrai ne iš stiprių knygų, todėl rekomenduoti nežinau net kam ir galėčiau. Galbūt norintiems lengvo turinio.

Twist after twist after twist! Elements were fairly predictable but each twist took the book in a new direction.

Told by husband and wife perspective, this was a great read that delivered right up to the epilogue!
