This was a really fast read (took me less than a day). I really enjoyed it which surprised me. I pretty much only read it to see what all the hype was about. I found the experience of this boy's visit to Heaven to be very interesting and I enjoyed that the book was full of Biblical scripture without being preachy.

Made me smile, cry, and really think about some things.

I absolutely adored this book. From the parents heartbreak for their sick child to their disbelief of the tale he was telling.

I'm torn on this book. Don't get me wrong, it's a quick and easy read but it's all over the place. I do plan to see the movie, I'm a believer, and I loved the story, it just needs to be a bit more organized as a book.

Really enjoyed this powerful book!

Heaven is for Real by Tom Burpo was a great short read. This book follows the descriptions of Heaven that Colton Burpo, a three year old boy, experienced when he went to heaven during an emergency appendectomy.

I really enjoyed reading this. It’s encouraging to read a firsthand account of going to such an amazing place like Heaven. You often hear beautiful descriptions at church, or read them in the Bible, but I had never read about the descriptions from the point of view of such a young child. So many of the things that Colton experienced were things that I had never even learned about until I was much older than his young age of three.

This book was a very encouraging read and an awesome reminder of what is to come. In an eternity where there is no suffering, it really puts things into perspective. If you want a short and uplifting read, I would definitely recommend reading this book.

Hmmmm. Not sure how to review it. If you believe in Heaven already, it'll be a feel-good read. If you don't, you'll probably think it's lame poppy-cock. Either way, the kid is darn cute.

While I believe Colton's experience, I found the first 11 chapters more about Pastor Burpo and his wife vs. Colton "near death experience".
