I had known about The Radium Girls but had never done a full deep dive into them. After listening to a podcast that talked about these women and what they went through I immediately went searching for a book. 

This book is at times hard to get through because what these women went through is so heartbreaking. I do recommend reading or doing the audiobook because even though people knew that it was dangerous to be working with this element they still didn’t it and don’t put proper safety protocols in place and many were affected and lost their lives because of it. This isn’t just about the women but their family and friends too who just by knowing them and coming in contact with them.
