Good depiction of anxiety, wish they had spent more time on how it can be overcome rather than magically finding a mate or new environment, but it was ok

I will say that I felt for Annie so much in this story. Having your mind not in tune with your heart, and that preventing your body from being able to do something it needs is incredibly understandable. I really appreciated Justus, being so patient. I think the rejection made complete sense. They were both young and confused. Annie had a lot of trauma to get through and I’m glad she was able to do it safely as always. I enjoy seeing Killian and Una, Tye and Kennedy. I truly hope to see more of these wonderful characters in this amazing series.
Another fabulous, heart-wrenching Five Packs book! Possibly my favorite one yet, the themes of trauma and anxiety and acceptance were so beautifully written. Justus is my absolute favorite character in this series. (I might have said that about Darragh in Lone Wolf

This one is my second favorite of the series. I really loved the First Pack and the dynamic between the main characters

What a fun read!
I've enjoyed this series, but I think this one has been my favorite of them all.
I loved watching these two navigate their relationship among the trauma and anxiety. Good mental health rep is a big deal to me, and often it doesn't feel like it's done well. It was done very well in this book, IMO.
Also, can I please live on Last Pack lands? That is a dream of mine.
I would also love to point out that one of my favorite parts in this entire book was the mention of philosophical texts! If you've read any of the ones mentioned in this book, I think it makes this work way more impactful considering most are on the human condition, social contracts, and politics. The way this book was written felt like an ode to that, and I really appreciated it!
Thank you to Chaotic Creatives and Cate C Wells for the ARC 🖤
