Cate C Wells “The Five Packs” are such a guilty pleasure read. Jumping back into the world of the Five Packs gave me such a serotonin boost.
In regards to content, this book follows the normal formula of the other books in terms of timeline (introduction to mates, mating, breaking up, and then an eventual HEA).
The lore of the shifters and their history was expanded. The FMC is someone who has mental health issues and I think the author handled it well.
I rated this book based on its genre of shifter romance.

I found this book to be enjoyable, however it was a slower pace than I expected and my least favourite book in this series. I think my disconnect comes from not being able to understand the FMC, whose every action is impacted by fear. Anyway we are able to see her come into her own by the book and that was a welcome development.
