phantom of the opera retelling in the LOOSEST of terms omfg… slightly change all of the names okay whatever.. call him her demon of music not angel of music 😭 girl it was almost too much to bear and to top it all off its a mafia book for some reason and… everyone is like 25 max?! thank god it only takes me a day to read these things otherwise itd be a big waste of time

This book is just what the doctor ordered if you are looking for something dark, sexy, and interesting from the very beginning.
I wasn’t sure how this book was going to play out, but it was absolutely fantastic! Make sure you leave you schedule open when you start this book, because you will not want to put it down once you begin.
This author did a fabulous job incorporating the jazzy city of New Orleans into a dark mafia romance. Her characters were entertaining and well developed. It was hard to guess exactly what would happen next which was refreshing, definitely check out this book if you’re ready for something dark and fresh!
Second book of the series coming out this year as well!

This was a really good story! I wasn’t so sure at first as I’m an avid Phantom fan, especially the book, but it actually did stay true to the characterizations of the phantom. Christine is now Scarlett, Meg is Jaime, Raoul is Rand, and Eric is Solomon who’s also a twin. The spice was a solid 4/5 I always giggle seeing a “he growled” on the page. The plot was engaging and kept me hooked the entire book, I especially like Rand being exposed as the villain he is!! Never liked Raoul for Christine not because he was a mafia boss but because he gave off spoiled rich boy energy and their chemistry wasn’t good??? Anyways this is the book for you if you wanted the Phantom and Christine to be endgame and have a happy little family together. The Phantom found out he is ✨Kenough✨

Scarlett had a secret. Phantom had an obsession. And me? I had high hopes and highlighter tabs.

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 for Phantom by Greer Rivers — a steamy, modern Phantom of the Opera retelling that had me humming “The Music of the Night” while turning pages.

Our mysterious hero has been stalking—er, protecting—Scarlett from the shadows until a panic attack brings him face to face with his muse. Cue the chaos. Cue the spice. Cue the dramaaa.

Did I swoon a little? Yes. Did I sometimes want to shake them both? Also yes. But if you’re in the mood for dark passion, forbidden love, and a phantom who refuses to stay in the shadows, this one’s worth the read.

It's astonishing how bad the writing is.. I got bored in the middle of the first sex scene and decided to never pick this book up again. Definitely not for me.
