complicated characters trying to protect themselves. one of those books where it switches between now and the past during the narrative. many characters who connected with me- art history teacher, weatherman, mother. . . lots of good language.

I just finished reading Sing Them Home by Stephanie Kallos. This book got off to a very slow start for me. I just felt like not a whole lot was happening. But then, as I got into, I started enjoying being in the characters lives each day. Kallos employed multiple perspectives to tell this story and I think they worked very effectively. While it seems at first to be the story of a mom gone missing and the aftermath on her three children's lives. It's also the story of a mom with a debilitating illness that is going to take her away from her children all too soon anyway. It's the story of small town life. It's the story of learning to be adults. In the end, I really enjoyed this book.

I'm not really sure what to think of this book, even after finishing it. I loved parts, and other parts seemed to go on and on. Maybe 3.5 stars? Not was good as Broken for You, but still worth the read.

Too many characters, back stories, flashbacks, and relationships for this feeble mind to keep track of auditorily. The reader was good, though, very expressive.

I love the way Stephanie writes and how descriptive her characters are. I feel like I know the three Jones siblings as if I grew up with them.

I enjoyed reading this overall, but there were a few loose ends at the conclusion. Compelling writing style though!

I didn't love this one - it almost got hard to get thru in the end.

This books is fraught with editorial problems and a plot that just couldn't hold my attention.
