False advertising, there was only one slay. This is a cozy Christmas mystery that will make you crave some hot chocolate! If you like a Hallmark Christmas movie but wish it had a murder mystery…this is for you. While it was a bit silly it does get a bonus point for having a realistic portrayal of the “amateur sleuth” actually being impacted by the murder, mentally.

Super cute cozy mystery set in Mistletoe, Maine on a Christmas tree farm. I really liked the characters, especially Cookie, who was a hoot. This book felt like the best Hallmark mystery movie with all the charm and amateur sleuthing without going overboard. The descriptions of holiday treats were so yummy sounding that I made snickerdoodles and hot chocolate while listening!

The audio format was great. I highly recommend for anyone who likes cozy mysteries. I'm looking forward to the next one!

Finally something fun and festive, packed full of everything that makes Christmas so Christmassy. There is a great balance between the murder mystery aspects and the Christmas backdrop in this book, making it a perfect Christmas read.
