This was such a quick and interesting read. Unlike anything I would usually read. This book is about a woman who struggles with sleep/sleepwalking and is trying to figure out what she’s doing in the night. I’m trying to describe without spoilers lol.

I really liked how the book felt like the protagonist’s journal. Also interesting that Icelandic women also deal with sexism in medicine (this was a small part to the story but still interesting)

This book has such potential but the writing really fell short.

This is a short novel that read in less than a day. A woman is waking up each morning exhausted, achy, and often bruised. She has no idea what's wrong with her. I flipped pages, admiring the way Knútsdóttir ramped up the pace with short chapters (sometimes just a sentence long) and building the tension. Confession: I'm not sure what happened at the end. I googled it, and apparently I'm not alone. But honestly? That doesn't make me like the book any less.
