i’m obsessed with the state of maine now

This was an okay book, but I didn't love it enough to continue the series. Lila is a sharp girl with celiacs disease who had previously had a long-time relationship with our MMCs little brother. There is a lot of set up for the rest of the series, which I believe is why this book seemed so much longer than it needed to be. With that being said it seems like there is a lot of story built into the wrong places. There was a lot of fodder that didnt contribute much to the story and some parts that really could have used more detailing. There is a chance that it improves with the next book of the series I just didn't think Elliot really hit her stride with this one and it wasn't enough to inspire me to continue

Loved this. It’s a heavy story at times but also filled with so much support, love, growth, friendship, found family and more. Lila and Owen are so good for each other.

Caught in the Axe is the first book in the Maine Lumberjacks series. This is a small town, age gap, brothers ex girlfriend romance. Owen and Lila connected perfectly they were so cute together. I was hooked!!

I liked this one a good bit but it really was too long. But apart from the length, Owen and Lila's romance was sweet, steamy, and satisfying. I appreciated how much they liked each other and how supportive they were of each other's goals. And I really loved the moment Lila finally realized how silly she'd been about their relationship. Overall there was a lot I liked and with so many interesting characters, I'm looking forward to reading more stories in this world.
