I have finally understood (if only a little) the craze of Meg Cabot. At least in this book, I was interested in the romance between the main characters, and what comes of it. The rest of the book was light, cliché-y, in a fun, entertaining way that didn't make it read like a bore. I spent an afternoon on this, and it was a good use of my free time. Although, I must say, the ending was a tad bit rushed, and anti-climatic, but this was a good, enjoyable read, no doubts there.

this is an historical artifact. pay phones, calling information, using a phone book, not having access to google maps. it is 2005 and i am twelve years old again.

Gods this is even better the second time around. I tried to envision the guys from Merlin as all the characters you know: Arthur(Bradley James) as Will, Guinivere(Angel Coulby) as Jennifer. the hardest one to picture was Ellie because I kept seeing her as some weird cross of Colin Morgan--who played Merlin-- and Britt Robertson, who played the protagonist Allie Pennington *gag* from the horrible movie Avalon High.
And the best part was seeing Marco looking like Alexander Vlahos who played older Mordred in the last season of Merlin

Finished this sweet and fun read. Not remarkable but well paced, nice parallelisms though a bit too obvious with the naming until the not so surprising ending.
Anyway, I needed comfort read and I really found it there. Easy, fun and quick.

Je ne sais pas comment j'ai réussi à lire ce livre jusqu'à la fin. J'ai deviné la fin au bout d'un chapitre. C'est la seule fois de ma vie où je vais dire : "le film est mieux". Au moins dans le film il y a un peu de mystère jusqu'à la fin et un plot twist à la fin. Tout était absolument décevant.
