All I am ever doing is looking for books and media that encompass what modern love encompasses. When I found out there was a book I got it the same day I heard. I took multiple cry breaks on the subway and at home and sometimes I pressed the book Into my heart as if to absorb what it had said. I’m a huge fan and saw Daniel Jones at a panel in June. This was spectacular
Kind of boring. Mostly stories of heteronormative relationships with a few exceptions. I think there were 2 that dealt with trans people and 2 or 3 LGB stories. Not very modern.
I don't usually gravitate towards short stories or non fiction for that matter but when I saw a bokk surrounding the topic of relationships I jumped at the chance to seek it out and read. I truly enjoyed my reading experience and am always curious about human beings interactions with one another. I tabbed 32 out of 42 stories as ones that really caused a emotional reaction to me whilst reading. I would highly recommend this book anyone and everyone.

Such a nice collection of easy-to-read, succinct little stories of love in various forms. Sometimes the stories are complicated and sad, but overall it was warm and fuzzies and a celebration of the fullness and complexity of love. I have no complaints really, other than wishing there were more diverse stories that bridged cultural lines and maybe featured people with occupations other than writers/teachers/artists.
A pleasant, wonderful, and heartwarming collection of short stories. While most of them are frankly mediocre in their writing style, the chance to enter the worlds of so many different people, all of whom speak humorously and touchingly about their experiences with love, was one I enjoyed having. It was incredibly fulfilling to read -- "Now I Need to Find A Place to Hide Away" made me almost sob while on the train to school. I'll always have fond memories associated to this book, and will probably read it again some day.
3.5 stars
some stories were alright (more so uninteresting) and some stories were entertaining for 6-7 pages. i'll try and construct my feeling for each stories within one (or two) emojis. more to come!
