DNF. How is this anyone’s favorite book… I tired to read it and couldn’t do it. Then tired to listen to it and it was worse. Why do people love this story? This is just rich white people doing rich white people shit. I know the point is to ‘make fun’ of that people of that time period but I didn’t see it. Classics should be left in the past.

"With the Gardiners they were always on the most intimate terms. Darcy, as well as Elizabeth, really loved them; and they were both ever sensible of the warmest gratitude towards the persons who, by bringing her into Derbyshire, had been the means of uniting them."

The book certainly meets it’s expectations. Jane Austen is amazing for naming the most beloved and well behaved character after herself. Now I need to find myself a Mr Darcy.

I am moving this to DNF (did not finish) because more and more instead of listening to it while running, I find myself choosing some other book, podcast or music.

It might be the fact that I listened to it while running, or my ADD and focusing on the run instead of what I hear of the story, or the fact that English is a second language for me, or the old-school-ness of it, or all the bloody different characters that I can't remember who is who anymore,

or maybe I'm simply dumb :D

but I am not enjoying it as much as I expected.

So to the dnf it goes, and I'll come back to it in a paper format.

And maybe draw visual schemes/explanations of characters or something, lol.
