They gay as hell

look it would be a 5 no doubt about it if NOT for the very weird very uncomfortable very horny descriptions of children that made it seem like lestat was abt to r word the absinthe boys

I've already seen the movie and the show before reading this book so I just felt like i was rereading something I already knew was going to happen, in the exact order it was going to happen etc. I also don't have time to read such a wordy and extensive book before having to return it. If I owned the book I'd probably read it completely.

This book has me soo conflicted cause like for the first half i was realllyyy enjoying it and thinking ok this is gonna be one of my fave vampire stories i like what this is all about! and then it LOST me when they got to paris like the new characters were completely irrelevant and boring imo even armand was like meh, dont get me wrong i like how he was added as another plot point but he was so incredibly rushed like ur telling me i had to sit through a hundred pages of tat to get back to the actual part of the story that matters?

The first time lestat returned i was shocked and like omg thats crazy!! and i had anticipated what was gonna happen after the pair fled to europe and whether or not lestat would chase them! But then the book just gave up with this plot line for like 200 pages and decided to make it about claudia & louis' desire for knowledge (which is met with disappointment ofc) which wouldve been ok if there was some plot twist but no they just said a bunch of stuff they basically already knew like big woop this all means nothing!

and THEN the author probably decided oh wait i still gotta write 100 pages lemme bring back the good ol lestat cause i forgot about him AND lemme shout out the LGBT AND lemme kill the girlies for funsies (misogyny!! jk) which honestly again wouldve been fine if i didnt have to pull myself through the sludge of whatever was going on in paris (its always paris causing trouble lets be real).

ALSO sometimes i completely forgor
