Pretty clear why Daichi got the cover after reading this one. He had a lot of great moments leading the team and being a coach on the floor. Sure he's "vanilla" like the other team said, but that's what makes him so great.
The spring tournament begins and Karasuno squares off against Johzenji, a team in the midst of a rebuild with a reputation for being the "party school." They have an unorthodox style of play, due to their coach having them practice in the way of full 2-on-2 games. They give the crows a run for their money, but Karasuno eventually gets the win 2-0.
The next day our boys face off against Wakutani, who has their own motivational captain in Takeru. Coach Ukai is worried about the match, because Karasuno struggles against teams that play methodically. We end on cliffhanger with Daichi laying on the court, unable to get up after riving for a ball.
