This is pretty much what I expected from a novella but being able to see this character go about her life after already knowing what happened to her was chilling.

I'm not very fond of short stories as a whole and feel that the plot and character development is lost. I felt that this story would be great as a full length novel but not for me as a short story

Although it's a short story, this one fell short. It was fast paced but I was sick of hearing how beautiful Julia was. I'm glad it was short because it was not Karin's best work.

I didn't realize this was a prequel and listened to it before reading the actual book so this review may not be as useful but this book was incredibly dull. It's pretty much just her overthinking situations then acting nas if she hasn't just thought through what she wanted to do or say.
