64bit key or 64 character key? Factual errors surround this book both involving computers and cryptography. Irrelevant content at the most unwanted spots. As the chapters progressed, I was able to predict just what was about to happen and it was interesting to see if my predictions were right, rather than enjoy the story which I thought would be as good as my friends claimed it to be. So both the protagonist and the antagonist love the same lady? Things people do for love! Too much expectations from this book.

For those who haven't already seen it, The Telegraph has done a far better job than I ever could in expressing my sentiment of Dan Brown. Having acknowledged that, the only scene I remember from this book is the prostitute being crushed to death under an assassinated 500lb man. Even as a teenager, I criticized the high technology presumably at stake and was underwhelmed by every character and plot device.

Read in isolation, the book probably holds up pretty well... but having read this after Brown's other books, the formulaic plot is really wearing thin.
