This is a great little story which helps to address how to deal with your worries.

Pig wants to throw a party but he starts to worry about it. What if no one comes? What if everyone has an awful time? Luckily his friends are there to help him deal with his worries and realise he isn't alone. Everyone has worries but it helps to talk about them. Pig has some great friends and there is a lovely surprise at the end!

I love the message in this story and it is delivered in such a fun and relatable way for young children. My son loved the large vibrant illustrations and there is so much humour for the older children as well (party food list: no sausages!)

A great story to read at bedtime or to share in an early years setting. This would be a great introduction to a PSHE lesson.
Thank you to @Toppsta for this #gifted copy.

Oh Pig, I too know what it's like to be a porky panicker...

As a lifelong worrier (and solidly-middle aged adult), I didn't know how much *I* needed to read What If, Pig. So much humor and heart, with wonderful illustrations. Just delightful.

With bright, detailled illustrations and a very clear message this book is the ideal prompt for talking about worry/anxiety with young children (aged 4+). The story is excellently laid out, perfectly paced and relatable for the target audience, the use of colour is spot on and the happy, hopeful ending will make this a book children want to revisit again and again! A must have in a primary teachers library and an excellent resource for parents of over thinkers too.

Surprising depth in this picture book about a kind pig with lots of friends, and a little anxiety and self-doubt. Lovely. Bright, uncluttered illustrations. Would be wonderful for a story time about big feelings.

Cute, short children’s book on anxiety. Everyone goes through what if questions - some big, some small. But what if instead of just looking for the bad, we also look for the good? This is what the book reminds readers to do and it’s a nice life lesson to teach kids while they are young. This is done in such an easy way to digest. The artwork is very simplistic and cutesy and there is a great use of color to imply mood (bright and loud when panic hits, more subtle with relaxing moments). Highly recommended.

Darling book. I love how it shows that feeling anxious and being worried isn’t bad or uncommon. And I love the encouragement of creating a safe space where you and your friends can talk about struggles openly so you know you aren’t alone. Sometimes I feel like pig and I’m just so thankful for all my friends
