I liked the story but didn’t like how men treated women

I did enjoy this book much more than I thought, but I did feel the ending was rushed and so much about it just doesn’t fit for me. I didn’t like how the story would skip weeks or months, I just would of loved more of the relationship to evole at the end.
Still love and would definitely recommend.

Emotional read

Really good book. Couldn't put it down. The angst and emotion was really good. But it had a happy ending which I liked

Elena is in desperate straights. Her mother is in a coma, and after being cut off from her family, she can no longer afford to pay the hospital bills. So she goes to a gentleman's club seeking a job...only to run into the one man who has always captivated her. Alexander needs a wife to become the chairman of his family company. Stumbling across a desperate Elena seems like the perfect solution to all of their problems.

I love me a good marriage of convenience! I also always love a good possessive male lead. The way Alec wants Elena so much without wanting to want her *pure catnip.* I really felt for Elena through most of the book because she really was treated deplorably and it drove me nuts, especially when it was Alec. There were a few times when I hated Alec's character because he was a bit wishy-washy in the beginning but he redeemed himself in my eyes. The thing I wanted to see more of was them working out their relationship issues, buuut I feel like the way the book ended kind of settled my ruffles feathers about how some of the book went down. I enjoyed so much of this book (yes there were things I felt were missing, but it still entertained me quite well), and I definitely think it's worth a read!

I wish I could say I enjoyed this book more than I did but unfortunately I can't. The things that happened and the way people talked was too unrealistic. No one talked the way those characters did. It was also quite repetitive. I enjoyed the plot tho! That's what made me finish the book. I wanted to know how it ended. I do have to say tho that the ending dragged a lot.

This was such a cute read. I'm happy Elena got her happily ever after.

This is a re read for me and I loved it just as much as the first time around. I love this author. She manages to make characters you really care about who have some depth. Bad people largely get consequences and its all lovely.

There is drama on the way and a falling out. But I did love Elena and Alec. They were complicated. I also love a good long stretch of grovelling when it's been earned!

Once again Catharina comes in strong with such amazing characters! Elena is such a wonderful main female character. She is determined, strong, ruthless when necessary but also kind and full of so much love. The side characters also add so much joy into this story and it wouldn't be an amazing story without some truely awful villians.

I love that all the books are in the same universe and I love the small mentions and cameos. I am excited to see Elena and Alec in the future!

I highly recommend this book and more importantly, this author.
