TikTok recommended it to me, and while I don't mind miscommunication as a trope occasionally, having a whole freaking book based on it, or the lack of communication gets kind of stressful for me. It was a decent enough book, but I don't think I would keep it if it wasn't forever in my Kindle library.
This book was perfect! I could not get enough of this book. I have loved everything that Catharina Maura has written, but I think this might be my favorite so far. Elena is pure and hopeful, despite being shunned by her family and she will do whatever it takes to care for those she loves. She truly has a heart of gold. Alexander is so broken. He doesn’t realize how amazing he truly is. He’s definitely a darker character, but from the beginning of the book, you could see how much he cares for Elena even if he himself doesn’t see it beyond their love story, the secrets the surround these two just keep you on your toes and not wanting to put the book down.
I read this in 1 sitting. It's a marriage of convenience with a little revenge and an MMC who sworn off love, but the FMC must be everything for him.
But damn does the drama keep coming.... Murder, plots to keep someone comatose.
But I absolutely loved the relationship with the MMC brother, and what they did you protect him ❤️

It's a no from me. Alexander was way too much of an asshole for me to care enough about the romance or story. I should have DNF'd it.

ich bin durch tiktok auf dieses buch aufmerksam geworden und ich muss sagen, dass es mir wirklich gut gefallen hat. give me a morally grey man, grumpy x sunshine and marriage of convenience und ich bin happy. ich konnte buchstäblich nicht aufhören das buch zu lesen, hab es quasi verschlungen.

alec und elena haben mich wirklich begeistert, alec war so fürsorglich, aufmerksam, liebevoll und hat ihr die welt zu füßen gelegt und ich liebs. er gibt mir halt literally "touch her and i will kill you" vibes. die zwei waren wirklich wirklich unglaublich süß, gerade in den letzten kapiteln.

THIS WAS IT FINALLY!!!! a fantastic lovely story with no miscommunication trope, incredible writing, a really good subplot, mutual character development, and groveling!!! absolutely perfect thank u
