The end was too abrupt. The romance between Jonny and Brittany was not believable. I did like the over all concept, but some how the shared story between the 3 separate women seemed too loose.

Love love love! Beautiful and real dialogue and raw stories from each character. Experiencing this book was a gift.

Loved the premise, but needed more.

Really interesting story about three black women and how their lives converge in Sweden. I always love stories that give an inside view into what other cultures and countries are like.

I can appreciate a good ending which is what earned this book 5 stars for me. I like how the author slowly developed the characters overtime telling their stories individually but through the same span of time. Being a black woman can be a challenge and I feel like this novel gave excellent examples of some of the complexities associated with being a woman of color. I would absolutely recommend!

LOVED this book!! I loved how it seemed after every chapter I couldn’t decide whether to root for or against certain characters. Very thought-provoking in regards to the topic of being a black woman in a very racially-homogeneous society. (Also justice for Tobias)

The writing is bad. I stayed long enough to hope that the story would outweigh the very juvenile writing but didn’t seem like it would.
