I really like the whale/dolphin interaction in this book. Is it realistic? probably not but hey its fiction and its fun.
In Cassie's POV but we don't really learn much about her like we did with Rachel and Tobias in the last two books. There doesn't seem to be much to her other than she's kind and the resident animal expert. I'm hoping as the books progress we get to see a little deeper into her mind. We do gain a new character who I'm hoping will stick around and help out the kids.

The Solace: Oh, what a first book for Cassie! I love her perspective; she is a character I can easily relate to and like. I loved the new character introduced in this story. I also loved the morphs and the complexities behind morphing them.
The Dread: We're on the fourth book, but we're still spending the first 2-3 chapters recapping the story. I can appreciate a good recap, but maybe there's a better way, a single chapter that the reader can review or skip depending on the need.
Overall, this was a great story. I love Cassie, her viewpoint, and what she adds to the team.
