Didn’t like this at all, poor storyline (there’s a prologue which doesn’t even make sense…)
Boring in all honesty, read it over 2 days just to finish it really.

i’ve read this book before and i definitely think it was better the first time i read it.
it’s very good at keeping you on the edge of your seat, i couldn’t put it down and completely finished it within 3 hours.
the one thing i do hate about this book and its movie adaptation is that they both left us on some sort of a cliffhanger. the author left the possibility of a sequel
which i would’ve ate up but no such thing happened
overall i did really like the book and i like how she made the characters likable, ian is my favorite :)

el libro está bien y se lee fácil pero sinceramente es de las primeras veces que una película me gusta más que un libro
Engaging premise that overstays its welcome and draws out the finale too far to maintain tension or interest. Needed to be edited down a bit, particularly in V’s overdone internal monologues - they tread the same ground too often to be compelling.
3/5
The story revolves around Vee, a reserved teenager who finds herself drawn into an online game called "Nerve." Players are challenged to complete a series of dares for money and fame, but the stakes quickly escalate, pushing Vee out of her comfort zone. The concept of an immersive and high-stakes game like "Nerve" is undeniably captivating and offers plenty of opportunities for tension and suspense.
The characters, particularly Vee, lack depth and development. While her initial transformation from a timid girl to an adventurous risk-taker is intriguing, it feels somewhat forced and not fully explored. The supporting characters also fail to leave a lasting impact, making it difficult for readers to truly connect with them on an emotional level.
The plot tends to rely heavily on convenient coincidences and contrivances, which can strain the suspension of disbelief. Certain twists and turns feel predictable, and the overall story arc lacks the complexity and depth that could have elevated it to a more memorable experience. As a result, some readers might find themselves yearning for a deeper exploration of the game's implications and consequences.
Despite these weaknesses, "Nerve" does succeed in delivering a thrilling and entertaining experience. It raises important questions about the influence of technology and the attraction of fame, offering readers an intriguing glimpse into a world where privacy is lost and personal boundaries are pushed to their limits. For those seeking a fast-paced and suspenseful read, "Nerve" certainly delivers on that front.

I’ve never liked a movie more than a book...but this book changed that. The motivation for the main character joining Nerve was weak and made me hate her character. The ending was so rushed and unresolved. I only finished listening to this as an audiobook because I was on a flight and it was already downloaded.
