This was my first hockey romance. First novel I read in about 8 years. I’m a huge fan of dual POV and this did not disappoint. I love the going back in time to really develop the characters relationship. From best friends to fake dating to lovers it was all around amazing. Maddox is one of my favourite book boyfriends that’s for sure!

I have been on a hockey romance kick lately, and this was another good one.

I am not a fan of the miscommunication trope, so it was nice that the author didn’t take the whole book to hash out the past. And I loved that the “drama” wasn’t really on the love Maddox and Braxton shared; that they overcame their issues and then faced the real twist together.

This was the first book for me for this author. I’ll for sure being going back and reading the first generation’s stories.

it’s kinda like the other one where like lowkey nothing happens but it’s in a good way and it’s perfectly lovely

Childhood friends to lovers isn't necessarily in my top 5 tropes, but when they're written well, they shine! This was also a second chance romance and those are my fave. I love a little angst and heartache

There’s nothing more that I love than a friends to lovers, second chance romance with some fake dating. Love Maddox and Braxton so much

Sooooo corny. Cute at times but I had to look away so many times because the dialogue was corny as shit. I almost quit reading entirely because of that. Also, at like 40-50% of the book all conflict was solved. Any other conflict that could happen wouldn’t matter at that point. Honestly not a great intro to hockey in a book but I think I’ll try again.
