oh my god. the way this series is kicking off has my jaw on the floor. one of my favorite things is that even through all the crap poppy has gone through, all the hardships she is still facing, and terrors she is constantly healing from she does not fail to keep her head. to be STRONG. that girl is a GOD. she is so beyond powerful, in every single aspect possible. i love her so much, top 3 favorite fmc ever written. casteel, you beloved man. his story breaks me and i think that it’s only going to get worse in the next book with where he ended up by the end of this one. that idiotic sappy amazing man offering himself up to save his queen, GOD. moral of the story, i love the characters (still). love this series. love the bonds and friendships and strength. the storyline. absolutely everything. what a masterpiece this series is.

so now i FINALLY understand so much more omfg. there was too much information the first time and man was i getting LOST. also damn near screamed my head off at every mention/scene dealing with a god, SERA, NYKTOS, NEKTAS, AND REAVERRRR AHHH MY BABY <3333 thankfully was able to enjoy this one so much more this time around that i’d even say the rating moves up. i found the storyline to be extremely enjoyable and interesting and was able to really see the importance of everything the characters did and went through. cannot wait to see more of reaver and learn more about the connections between the prophecy, events from flesh and fire, and overall just lore between the series in the next book!!!!!!!!! oh and definitely looking forward to more casteel >> poppy >> kieran action :P
