WHEW I feel like this is super biased bc THG is my favorite series ever I literally rewatched the movies again while reading this for more immersion and seeing the outcomes of all the characters in SOTR in THG it deeply affected me. LOVEDDDDDDDDDDD all the cameos and the nods to the previous books/movies it really felt like a gift to us fans to catch them it’s all I annotated lol.
And the
EPILOGUE 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 my heart was in PIECES I was so happy to see my babies katniss and peeta again my headcanon was that haymitch officiated their wedding before he passed :) but oh my god Lenore doves death was BRUTAL it was already hard enough with his mom and brother dying but that was just cruel but also it was lowk kinda stupid I would’ve just died honestly if I were haymitch good on him for keeping on fighting the good fight 

Speaking of I LOVED that the version of the games that Katniss/Peeta (and therefore us) saw actually had way more depth like wtf do you mean haymitch blew up the arena and smuggled in explosives πŸ˜€ I need a book on Plutarch like yesterday he was definitely the most interesting character here


All in all I’m just happy to get another peek into this world I’m so glad to see this resurgence especially after the TBOSAS movie came out and now with the upcoming news on this movie (THE CAST!!! IM SO FUCKING EXCITED) it just reaffirms the greatness of Suzanne Collins and this world!!
