Reading a Melissa Brayden novel is like cozying up by the fire, sipping wine and just...enjoy! She never disappoints with either her characters or the story itself. I could continue to read her novels endlessly. Five big hearts for Back to September!

4.5

Wow, this book was a rollercoaster ride, but I loved every minute of it. Hannah and Parker met when Parker came to do a book signing at Hannah's book store. Thank goodness she did because not only did that signing help to save Hannah's store, but it also changed both of their lives for the better. While their road to happiness was filled with many hills, bumps, twists, and turns, this reader happily went along for the ride. The supporting characters (Hannah's employees and her sister) were fantastic and really added to the plot. Hannah and Parker were excellent main characters who were very relatable. I don't want to give anything away with this review, so I will end by saying that this book is absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend it!

I knew I would love this book from the very first line: ‘“Good morning, books,” I whispered reverently.’ Hannah is the perfect main character for any booklover, with her devotion to her books and store. I immediately fell in love with her and A Likely Story. She was so sweet and caring, and the way she sought to find everyone their perfect book was adorable. I also couldn’t help but relate to how tightly she protected the small world she created for herself. I also fell in love with the other employees of the shop and Hannah’s sister, Bo. The relationships between them and Hannah were so wholesome. As for Parker, I liked her a bit less. I wish she had more character development, like I saw with Hannah. But romance wise, her and Hannah had so much angst and tension that I enjoyed. I also liked the amount of external conflict in this book, with the worries about the store and other unexpected events. It gave more of a plot than pure romance. Overall, I absolutely adored this book and highly recommend it.
