Fantastic! Donnelly at her best, and as always so creative and imaginative. Love the life lesson in this story… Life is what you, and only you, make it. The anagrams were pretty cool too.

Listen to this as an audiobook, found it very hard to follow along with which emotion was talking with the anagrams. Definitely wish I would’ve read rather then listened. But still enjoyed it.

I’m a big fan of fairy tale retellings, and based on the summary, this story seemed like it had incredible potential. The opening chapters had me fully invested. Beau had the charm of Flynn Rider—a confident, pretty boy womanizer—but unfortunately, his character lacked depth beyond that. The FMC felt overly childlike, which made it difficult to connect with her. While the premise was promising, the story remained surface-level, lacking the emotional depth and heart I was hoping for.

A fun twist on a familiar tale.
Arabella, a proud young woman with grand ambitions, is considered "beastly" because she is not the sweet and compliant girl her parents want.
After expressing her anger, Arabella and everyone she cares about are cursed, trapped in the castle for 100 years.
Can a handsome thief who wanders in the castle learn to love this "unloveable" girl and break the curse? Or is he so wounded by his experience with love that he cannot open his heart again?
Recommend to readers who enjoy a good re-telling!
