This was chick-lit at its best. Now excuse me while I peruse Scottish countryside real estate.

I needed an Iron Flame palate cleanser. This was cute but it didn’t help much.

Cute, fun, predictable. This is exactly what you expected it to be, which does not mean it disappoints. Lighthearted with a happy ending in a comfy setting.

What I needed to get out of a bookslump.

Sweet if predictable story. Loved reading about the Highlands.

Recommended to me by a friend as the main character reminded her of me

No rating since I didn't actually finish. Liked the concept and it seemed promising.

3.5 stars
I enjoyed this book--especially the first half. Watching the main character grow and begin living outside of her precious books was lovely. The descriptions of Scotland made me long to visit there and the gentle romance was sigh worthy.
All the talk of books made me feel quite at home, while the idea of a mobile bookstore made me dream impossible fantasies for myself.
But...
The book wasn't quite four stars. The writing was a bit uneven (lovely in some areas and too rushed or flat in others.) I also thought the plot was a bit fantastic and improbable. Everything worked out a little too easily and too quickly for our book selling heroine. While her growth and progress in the first half of the book felt genuine, her character development in the second half felt a little too good to be true.
Overall this is a book for book lovers. And while there were obvious flaws I think it is still a fun novel to enjoy (especially on holiday or at the beach.)

Except for the book van, there's nothing interesting about the book. Thanks to those random book recommendations and the misleading title I read this stupid book :)

I think that this was the most fun book I've read or listened to in a long time. Yes, it's a romance novel, technically, but I think that the main character (Nina) loving her books was what snagged me. It was predictable in some places, but not overly annoying about it. The idea of picking up and starting over in a tiny little town has its appeal, too. I really enjoyed this one and I'll be looking forward to her other books!
