I loved this book so much. There is just something so cozy about a book that’s about books. Maybe it’s because I’ve always wanted to have my own cozy bookshop, or because I would love to travel to Scotland, but this book was just a recipe for success. Maybe it’s that the author clearly loves books and reading herself, so it really shine through every single page.
The entire time I was reading this I kept thinking that it would immediately get 5 stars and go on my favorites list. It's still going on my favorites list because I absolutely LOVED everything about it... until I got to the last 30 pages or so. There was a hint of an eventual romance throughout the entire book but that wasn't the focus. Nina, the main character, made a huge career and life change and embarked on a brave adventure that involved her love for books. That was the incredible focus the entire time. There was one sweet little romance that came and went and then the obvious guy that she would end up with came into the picture in the last few chapters and it suddenly went from this sweet story about a woman finding herself and her way, written in the most beautiful way, to some oddly written thoughts about sex and romance. It really felt like those last few chapters were an afterthought.
I still loved this book and story, but the end of it just tainted the experience for me a little bit because the tone and writing changed so abruptly.

What a lovely, cozy read. By the end of the book I was ready to move to the Highlands and become a regular at Nina's book bus! There were times in the story where I felt like leaps were made that, when you thought about it, felt quite extreme but the building of Nina's world made you not care about it too much.
A light, fun read with a Sophie Kinsella-esque feel to it. I completely enjoyed listening to the audio book. The funniest thing about this story is how Nina went from a shy, quiet, introverted librarian/book seller at the beginning of the story to a bit of a sex-obsessed, boy-crazy woman at the end. Seemed a little out of character but she was a charming character nonetheless.
