A light, fun read with a Sophie Kinsella-esque feel to it. I completely enjoyed listening to the audio book. The funniest thing about this story is how Nina went from a shy, quiet, introverted librarian/book seller at the beginning of the story to a bit of a sex-obsessed, boy-crazy woman at the end. Seemed a little out of character but she was a charming character nonetheless.

This was such a sweet, feel good read that made me laugh and smile and even tear up a bit at the end!

This could have been very cute. I love books about books but unfortunately the romances and characters were underwhelming and juvenile. It irritated me that Nina was so childish and uneducated on serious matters (like buying a truck without seeing if she could park it?!?).

Nina felt a bit like a “I’m not like other girls, I ~read~” she definitely was suppose to be a charming shy and awkward person that needed others to take care of her. Always find this to be overdone and ridiculous.

First part was definitely easier to digest. The romance really made this book difficult to read. Should have stopped halfway but unfortunately finished it.

This was very cozy, especially the epilogue, but as the book progressed, I became less and less interested and it turned a STRANGE turn at the end.

I loved the concept of going after what you love and giving up everything to get there. I especially loved the concept of moving from a big city to the country side to do it.

🎧 - Cozy, light, fluffy, etc. This story is a rom-com through and through (not my usual book of choice). It was perfect for an audiobook as I could put it on during chores/walks/and so on and not be too fussed if I forgot parts. I enjoyed the bookish nature of the main character and it filled my rom-com cup. However, some of the male characters were given too much credit for simple things and the main character took on more blame/self criticism than was necessary. All in all, I'd prefer this as a movie, but it was a fun read.

What more could you ask for than a book about books set in Scotland? That's good enough for me.

Nina lives a life of books and prediction. When her job becomes obsolete, she is forced to reconsider what it is she actually wants to do and how she will accomplish it.

This book takes you on a journey of a book lover's dream turned true depsite all the doubt that she and others have.

Two romances take place in this book and, without giving too much away, I'll say that I'm glad the love that prevailed, did. I found the other one annoying.

Throw in a big dumb van, a dog named Parsley and the beautiful Scottish Highlands as the backdrop and you have a lovely story that I know all book obsessors will get wrapped up in.

I’m a sucker for stories about books, libraries, and bookstores. This was a sweet, heart felt story that checked all my bookish boxes.
