Not going to lie I was disappointed! Didn’t hook me as much as Divine Rivals. I found it pretty slow. Still love the story and characters. Very well written I just didn’t love it.

I’m a little sad that this wasn’t as hard hitting and beautiful as Divine Rivals.

The angst, tension, and chemistry weren’t as strong for me in this one.

Dacre and Enva’s motivations felt a little weak and unclear in the end. I feel like there’s so much more to their story?

I also felt like this book dragged on a bit too long. I was under the impression that we’d get the full story between Dacre and Enva and maybe it would somehow parallel Kitt and Winnow…?

Overall I’d recommend the duology just for the writing, I enjoyed the pretty prose, and beautiful romance, but the first book in the series pulls you in way more!

This duology was SO beautifully written and had me crying and laughing and smiling. We love a badass female main character that loves so fiercely and fights so courageously
