Thank you Jessica Jude for this ARC. I liked this one better than the first!

At first I hated just about every character in this book, but Slate slowly won me over. First by punching Lux's ex in the face, then by bringing Lux out of her shell. By the halfway point, I was definitely wanting him to succeed in whatever he had going on. I thought Lux was shallow and prissy in the first book, but she turned out to be a character I related to the most from the start. I loved how she was so nice to Slate's sister no matter what was going on between her and Slate. She had her own goals that she didn't give up on no matter what other people said about it.

My complaints though, I hate all of Slate's friends. Mainly because of how they talked about women. Although, after Slate and Lux started to see each other more often, the friends rarely showed up. I'm sorry, but one reason I didn't like Slate is because he wasn't poor, he was kinda trashy. He wasn't just judgey about Lux being a "Silver Spoon" but to everyone he was around. Yet, the entire town liked him? I don't get it.

All in all, I liked the book. I don't know if I'll reread it but there are people I would recommend it to.

This left me wanting so much more. Honestly, this could have been 400 pages longer with more in depth story of The Wolf and the trials & tribulations Lux was going through with The Wolf, Carter and her brother Alex, and I wouldn’t have wanted more then too!

I’m not into Gossip Girl and those type of stories, but mix that with the Breaking Bad aspect and a hot cinnamon roll book boyfriend, sign me up six ways to Sunday!

Jessica Jude is doing the damn thing! I am dying for the third book to be released.

PRE-ORDER NOW, OUT JULY 1ST!!

My ratings for romance and spice are 💖💖💖/🌶️🌶️🌶️. Slate is my kind of swoony 🥰🫠

I LOVED "Ace of Betrayal" (which I read while I waited) and it made me impatient for the release of "Queen of Vengeance"! The friend group isn't as prominent in this book as it heavily revolves around Lux and Slate and Slate is an "outsider", but that doesn't take away from the quality of the storyline. They are both tragically loveable characters that I had so much fun getting to know. The banter was, as promised 🤌 magnifique (magnificent)! I LOVE good banter 😍 Definitely saw the grumpy x sunshine duo, but sometimes it was hard to tell which was which because damn did that man FALL 🥰 Anyways, as if it isn't obvious and I have to spell it out: READ. THIS. BOOK.

While I waste away waiting for the final installment of this series, I will just have to check out the "Queen of Wesbourne" series. 😅

Jessica Jude delivers yet another compelling addition to her Hand of Revenge series with Queen of Vengeance, crafting layered, flawed, unforgettable characters and pairing them with tropes that just hit.
Lux is more than just the picture-perfect socialite; she’s a hurricane of depth, survival, and vulnerability. And Slate? The man is equal parts broken and beautiful—better than he believes, and exactly what Lux deserves.

This is a story that reminds us that we are not defined by our pasts, and we shouldn’t settle for someone who can’t see our full worth.

While Queen of Vengeance can absolutely be read as a standalone, I still highly recommend starting with Ace of Betrayal to fully appreciate the intricacies of this messy, elite world. And yes—there’s a third book coming, I’m already starving for REDACTED's love story and redemption arc.

Please do check the trigger warnings—while this story is spicy and lovely, it also explores heavier themes.

 ARC Review!

Queen of Vengeance is a society lady and bad boy romance that will have you on the edge of your seat! Lots of banter, open door spice and some tension! I was going through it with Slate and Lux!

Definitely a 5 ⭐️ read for me! (About 3 🌶️ rating if you care about that-yes open door spice)

Here are some tropes to do some convincing for you to read since I don’t wanna give it all away!
- revenge plots!
- small town high society
- enemies to lovers
- touch her and ☠️
- grumpy X snarky

Make sure to check out Ace of Spades the first book in this series before reading Queen of Vengeance! (QoV releases July 1st! You can preorder your copy today!)

Thank you to Jessica Jude for the opportunity to read an ARC copy!!

I have waited for this ARC since I finished book 1(Ace of Betrayal). It may have topped reading it as I just couldn’t put this one down. I’m excited to see what happens next in book 3!

I enjoyed the spice and the back and forth between Lux and Slate. Lux's development as a character was quite well done. Initially, I couldn't stand her but by the end I was rooting for her. The card game revenge thing was hit or miss for me. And the plot was not the most well thought out.  I didn't see the plot twist at the end coming and normally I would love that, but in this case I found it unbelievable and the resolution wasn't really satisfying. But I was there for the romance and in that I was not disappointed. Slate gave delicious book BF vibes.
Thanks to Jessica Jude for the ARC opportunity. This is the second in a series, but can be read as a standalone. There are some references to Ace of Betrayal, but I found I didn't feel like I was missing key points by not having read that yet

I signed up for this ARC and I was nervous because I’m not a swiftie anymore, I wasn’t sure this would be my vibe but I absolutely cannot wait for the next book. Totally changed my mind entirely on second chance romances!! This one blew me away. My favorite book growing up was The Clique by Lisi Harrison. This reminded me why I loved those books growing up with the added spice because, YES! I am over the moon with this couple. Like can I get a bonus chapter, audiobook, please! I absolutely adore them together. I wish we got to see them try to integrate worlds a little more but the vibes were everythingggg there are some serious triggers and it really pulls on the heart strings. I wanted to cry, cringe and LOL. I’m so glad I finished it but I didn’t want it to end ever. The whole of different worlds, opposites attract, unshakeable chemistry, I was done for from the start. I also love open door romance scenes and these were so creative and not as predictable. Give us a little more detail and I’d be absolutely drooling, that truck, that office, ugh! I wanna be a fly on that WALLLLL.

This book had me in a chokehold. The depth to both Lux and Slate is fantastic. The touch her and die element to Slate is absolute perfection, and Lux deserves it so wholeheartedly.

When things went wrong, I wasn't sure I could forgive Slate either, but both Lux and I got there in there end.
The gossip girl friendship clique wasn't involved as much as in the first book, but they were still there and I'm here for every part of their revenge plots.

I am so grateful to have been picked to ARC read this fabulous story. I cannot wait for the next one to see what Jessica Jude has in store for Rhett.
