I was actually so obsessed with the vibes of this book! Queen of Vengeance is an opposites attract, enemies to lovers romance where we follow our FMC Lux as she tries to navigate a abusive relationship while also following her own revenge plot because her parking spot was stolen and our MMC Slate as he tries his best to take care of his sister while also trying to deal with the consequences of messing with a certain blonde socialite. We watch through their eyes walls are broken down, lies are revealed, feelings are strengthened and enemies turn into lovers.

These two were such fun characters to get to know. Them being complete opposites created such a fun dynamic and mix that with the gossip girl vibe of the entire book ugh absolutely addicting. I loved watching Lux show her vulnerable side and watching her get the love and happiness she deserves was so amazing. I also loved learning that she isn’t just a spoiled rich girl she cares so deeply and she has so many scars that run deep. Being able to watch her heal and grow throughout this book was inspiring! I loved Slate and watching his hard exterior crumble when he’s around Lux. I’m so obsessed with slate honestly! Listen he has his flaws ;) but what’s not to love!!! I absolutely loved these two together and watching their story unfold!

Just like the first book I loved the writing style and the vibes of the entire book! I honestly loved being able to follow around this fun, crazy couple and her crazy group of friends! This entire book and even series has such a unique and interesting story line! Like a revenge plot from poker game bets wow!!  I will say some of the things that they would get revenge for seemed unreasonable and unrealistic BUT LISTEN I WAS HERE FOR IT!! Also that plot twist?! Should I have seen it coming maybe but my goodness the way I gasped!!! I am so obsessed with this series and I absolutely can’t wait for the next book!

Overall, I really enjoyed this book! I had such a great time getting to know Lux and Slate individually and then as a couple!! The vibes are absolutely immaculate and I can’t wait for more! Thank you Jessica Jude for the ARC!! Loved every single bit 🌸🖤⛓️

Thank you so much for Jessica Jude for letting me be an ARC reader for this story!

As truthfully honest and I can be, I wasn’t a fan of these types of books (I did read AoB before I read this). I think what really threw me off was the manipulation and the wealth. We can start with the wealth.

Growing up from scraping the bottom of the barrel, I read this with a sense of ick… money was always a very sensitive topic, and the fact they just threw it around or used it to their advantage in situations just wasn’t something I really liked. While it wasn’t the plot at all, it always left a very sour taste in my mouth, and I found myself not really clicking or liking the characters.

The story literally prayed on someone else’s vulnerability the ENTIRE time. Lux legit almost RUINED Slate’s life over a parking spot, bringing down his business that HE worked for. Writing a fake note about his sister’s medical condition… none of it felt like “love.”

Overall, if you like books with this type of wealth with Young Adults who use it to their advantage, I’d say go for it? The writing was great, but the characters were just something I cannot get behind, which made me rate the story at what I did.

I adored Lux and Slate! This book is different from Ace Of Betrayal but I still loved it!

It took me a little longer (1 day) to get into this book compared to ace of betrayal but I think that’s cause I still had a book hangover with Heath and Walker!

The characters in this book seem more well rounded and complex but that could also be that it’s a sequel and got to build on previous characters. There’s also more emotions in this books (what can I say family’s are messy) (not her mom though HATE her)

Also the romance in this book is juicier than Ace and amazing. I was drooling

I thought that some aspects of the plot were a bit of a stretch but I really enjoyed the dynamic between the characters! Maeve and Slate have great chemistry and the relationship blooming between Briar and Maeve is also super sweet. The relationship Maeve has with her parents is complicated, which certainly explains some of the traits and choices she makes and also explains why her relationship with Carter lasted as long as it did, and potentially longer without Slate's appearance in her life.

I'm happy with how this installment ended and look forward to the next one with Rhett!

I really enjoyed Lux & Slate’s story.. After reading the first book Ace of Betrayal, I wasn't sure I'd 100% liked Lux yet she grew on me a bit more here. Personally, I’d classify this as an opposites attract rather than enemies to lovers but to each is own. I'm looking forward to seeing how the series will end!

I love Lux and her strong independent woman attitude! But honestly, the best character in this book is Briar. 💙

Reading the first book in the series (AOB), I really didn’t like any of “the friends” (they all seem like pretty terrible and entitled people), so I enjoyed that this book had less of a focus on them, and more on Lux and her development.

Thank you to @jessicejudebooks for letting me be an ARC reader!!

I liked this a lot more than the first one. I'm still not a huge fan of the revenge storyline, but it felt a lot less juvenile in this one. It's also way less of it.

I did like the drug and abuse storyline, even if it was sad. I would recommend checking out trigger warnings.

The writing style pulled me in. I would recommend this if you're up for a darker and more serious storyline, with a decent bit of spice.

I was sceptical after the first one, but I will likely continue the series, with or without an ARC.

I received this as an ARC, in the hope of an honest review.

I went into this second book in a planned trilogy BLIND based just on tropes. It was a roller coaster of emotions! The characters are well developed and the side characters just add to the world making me want more books (still need to go back and read the first book in the series Ace of Betrayal). I recommend this book if you like top notch banter, reluctant allies, enemies to lovers, opposites attract, tatted alpha hero, touch her and die, characters you love to hate, a struggle to a HEA, and trigger warnings. I love how @JessicaJudeBooks writes her characters as real people with real lives and real flaws.

If you want more specific details (no spoilers)…

I will admit that I did not like the FMC Lux at first, actually there were a couple of times during the book I wanted to scream at her! Her background explains a lot about her but still, arg!! I’ve seen Lux described as the “It Girl”- think Gossip Girl, socialite. I am not a fan of this type of character and probably would have DNFd if it weren’t for the other characters and the story line. Again, I love how Jessica Jude writes her characters as real people with real lives and real flaws and I really started to care about Lux. I also don’t love her friend group but again, I really started to care for all of them by the end (mentally giving Rhett a hug and hoping he gets his own book!).

The MMC Slate is also no saint, but I pretty much loved him from the beginning. It might be wrong but apparently, I’m ok with characters doing bad things for the right reasons. Plus the character art by @rumaisa.artstudio is chef’s kiss- he’s hot. Slate is from the Junction (think other side of the tracks). He’s a protective big brother that knows everyone in his community. He’s trying to do better but still working to survive with the cards he’s been dealt.
Thank you, Jessica Jude, for providing me with an advance copy of this book!
