I received an ARC of this book and I never read the first book, but I understand QOV just fine without having to read the first one.

Different worlds' situation between our FMC and MMC. At first, I was dumbfounded at how stupid FMC is to get herself into a danger without thinking twice, but then again, she is doing it for her brother. I have a younger brother and I think I'd do that too. Despite being born with a silver spoon, her heart is gold. Bless her. Then enter our MMC who are always ready to do everything possible for his loved ones. Also has a heart of gold. Not your typical rider boy that I usually read. Bless him too.

I don't really see enemies to lovers here like what everyone is saying, but maybe it's just me haha. Anyway, good pacing, keeping you on edge and when it ends, it leaves you wanting for more. I love it.

Let me start by saying, the plot line was dark, engaging and captivating. I spent the entire time reading this book on the edge of my seat. I read Ace of Betrayal before this book so that I would understand what the Book 2 ARC that I received was about – and boy was I happy with Queen of Vengeance. It can be read as a standalone, but I’m glad that I read the first book and I’m waiting on Book 3… come on Jessica

Thank you to Jessica Jude for reaching out with this ARC of this book!

I was nervous going into this since I did not care for Lux in AoB, but I was pleasantly surprised by her redemption! This book definitely has gossip girl vibes and is not as (in my opinion) problematic as AoB— sorry Walker & Heath. I loved the growth of Lux’s character and enjoyed reading how her and Slate’s relationship fell into place and bloomed. The 3rd act had me FRUSTRATED but the ending was great. I’m excited for KoO, and I will be sattttttt for whenever Maeve & Pierce have their book.

When I finished Ace of Betrayal, I was quietly but impatiently waiting for Queen of Vengeance. Jessica did not disappoint. QoV was one of those that I really struggled to process and review because of how captivated I was by the storyline. I mean, I’m already a little weak in the knees for bikers, but strong, tatted, protective bikers? SWOON 🫠 Lux and Slate instantly have a great chemistry, with just enough bickering to be a completely normal couple. While Lux is trying to find the supplier that helped fuel her brother’s addiction, after some negotiation Slate offers to help. The twists and turns in QoV were even better than I could have predicted or expected. I can’t wait for book 3!

First of all, thank you Jessica for allowing me the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this amazing book. I didn’t read the first book of this series (it can be read as a standalone). I can say it was not what I expected: it’s even better. I found myself kicking the air, talking to myself, being angry… and if a book does that to me: yeah, it’s good. I loved the main characters, Lux and Slate, and the tension between them, and the spicy scenes are a plus. The plot is really good as well and it was hard to put it down. I loved Briar too, she’s so lovely. I don’t want to give any spoilers so I’m gonna just say: if you like this type of book, READ IT!

Slate. Alpha bad boy. Leather jacket. Tattooed. Rides a motorcycle. Has a man bun.

Standalone book. I didn’t have any exceptions before reading this but I actually really loved the story and the characters. Lux and Slate had great tension and banter. Just wish the ending hadn’t felt quite so rushed.

Definitely want to read Ace of Betrayal now and can’t wait for a 3rd book

I'm so grateful for the ARC I received from the author, however, it ended up not being for me. While I was interested in the characters and their dynamics at first, that interest quickly evaporated. Both of the MCs annoyed me, their inner monologues made me cringe, their scenes together that I was looking forward to fell short. Not to mention the reasoning behind the whole "revenge" plot was extremely silly and made me roll my eyes every time I thought of it.

I did like the author's writing, it was very snappy and quick-moving, but it did not make up for my disenjoyment over all.
