Ok so I obviously I didn’t like this book, and after finishing it, I would restate that reading this book feels like a punishment for coming in last in a fantasy football league. I’m not sure why I did that voluntarily. The characters are supposed to be these deep characters - one with an ex husband?? and another with depression?? - but they are just so simple minded that this was not an enjoyable read. “He looked at me like I looked at the sunset” is just not the grand line that Lyla Sage thought it would be. I’m glad it’s over, and I will NOT be finishing out this series. One hand, they need to lock these books behind paywalls so they aren’t accessible for the masses, and then on the other hand, this content is cheap.

Once again, Lyla Sage has done it with her simple, yet adorable western romance series. I do wish there was a but more of a protagonist in it- perhaps a jealous ex of some kind.
Not a lot happens, predictable factor is 100%, romance ensues on Rebel Blue Ranch, but somehow it just works.

Golden retriever MMC and recently divorced FMC. Plot was simple but the found family is very reminiscent of Elsie Silver’s books.

I normally don't relate too hard to characters, but Ada & Wes were SO relatable I loved it

Ada and Wes were too freaking cute! I loved their banter and the way the story flowed. These books are just so easy to read, without being too choppy like some can get. The only thing that was missing was that it never really described Wes’s appearance. I know that sounds dumb, but it’s important when the story is shorter than most. But overall, I’m a fan of Lyla Sage’s books and hope she keeps doing what she’s doing.
