Tender, harrowing, and so so addictive. This was my first read of 2025 - it got me out of a real slump - and it’s going to be a difficult one to beat! A ghost story, a love story, and a mystery all in one - I have to thank the lovely cashier at my local book shop for recommending this one

I love gothic literature, but I’m not a big fan of the tropes used in this one, so the book didn’t appeal to me as much as I’d hoped. But this was a neat story about found home and family.
